Offer condolences


Guy Glen McMeans, 76, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013. He was born on Nov. 15, 1936, to Eldred L. and Lucille (Burris) McMeans.

A special thanks to the entire Velasquez family for their love, care, and support. Glen was a strong, caring man who loved his entire family and will be deeply missed, said his family.

Glen was preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Margaret Evelyn McMeans; his parents; and brother Bobby McMeans.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Maria Ramsay; sons Richard and Timothy; daughter-in-law Debra; sisters Anna Faye Wilson, Emma Lou Millender, Bonnie Golden, and Linda Harrison; numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many loving friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, Jan. 28, from 5-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Olen Wilson officiating.

Interment followed in the Stockdale Cemetery in Stockdale.
