Trail riders invite public to dances

Falls City

This year marks the 54th anniversary of the South Texas Trail Riders coming through Falls City.

A dance, open to the public, will be held at the Falls City Hall Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 8 p.m. to midnight. Tickets will be sold at the door with live music by “Cactus Country.”

A limited amount of advance tickets will be sold to the general public for barbecue plates to go. Tickets are available at Falls City Supply and the Palace Café. Proceeds benefit the Falls City Chamber of Commerce.

Join the South Texas Trail Riders for a dance Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 8 p.m. in the Wilson County Show Barn, located off S.H. 97E in Floresville.

Bobby Marquez will entertain with his country/western and honky-tonk style music for those wishing to dance or just sing along. Admission is $7 per person.

Watch for Marquez to perform at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 23-24.

The Mesquite Traildrivers will host a dance Wed., Feb. 6, in the Mesquite Hall located on Mt. Olive Road off U.S. 87 East in Adkins.

Music will be provided by the “Nick Lawrence Band” from 8 p.m. until 12 a.m. Cover charge is $7 with children under 12 free. Riders can show their trail ride badge for free admission.
