ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Floresville Opry Feb. 9 at event center

There is still time to purchase tickets for the Floresville Opry scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 7, from 6-9:30 p.m. in the Floresville Event Center at 600 S.H. 97 West in Floresville. Doors will open at 5 p.m.

Join in the fun as classic country music legend Tony Booth not only performs, but also celebrates his birthday with some good dance music by house band “Playin’ to Win.” Featured artists include Sally Carlson, Conrad Gonzales, and ReBeca. Patrons also can enjoy door prizes, free birthday cake, and dinner by Werner’s Catering for an additional $7. Concessions will be available.

Tickets are available at the Sam Fore Jr. Wilson County Public Library and the Wilson County News for $7 each. All proceeds will benefit the Wilson County Historical Society.
