LV Grizzlies plan spring seasons

LA VERNIA -- The La Vernia Grizzlies Youth Sports Association is bringing PONY baseball to La Vernia. Registration is open for ages 9-14 (as of April 30), and the cost is $95 per player.

The Grizzlies are also registering for the Texas Youth Football Association’s spring football season. Registration is open to kids ages 4-13 (as of Aug. 1) for both flag and tackle leagues. The cost for flag football is $125 and it is $175 for tackle football.

Registration for both baseball and football will be held Wednesday, Jan. 30, from 6-7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 2, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Both registration sessions will be held at Wiseman Field.

The Grizzlies are also hosting a speed and agility training program at Wiseman Field. Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Each session is $5, and parents must remain on-site during all sessions. The program is open to everyone, not just Grizzly players.
