Officials from the Floresville Police Department and the Heidi Search Center have confirmed that 17-year-old Juanita Marie Jimenez has been located.

Lt. Chad Clark of the Floresville Police Department said that a tip from a family member prompted the department to send an officer, along with an officer from the San Antonio Police Department, to a home on the west side of San Antonio Feb. 4. Jimenez, who was confirmed to be safe, is staying there with her boyfriend.

“I’m just glad that she’s well and alive,” said Jimenez’s father, Juan. “I hope she realizes that we have the door open for her, if she should need our help.”

Jimenez was reported missing Aug. 23. This was after she last was seen Aug. 19, when her mother, Margaret, dropped Jimenez off to see a movie at the Arcadia Theatre in downtown Floresville.
