Social services experience required.  Responsible for assisting with recruiting and initial training of advocates, and coordinating cases in Wilson County and Karnes County with Atascosa County (home office). Must demonstrate written and presentation communication skills. 2 condolences


William “Bill” K. James of La Vernia, Texas, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at the age of 70 years, 6 months, and 19 days. He was born July 5, 1942, in Riverdale, Md., to Raymond Earle James and Mary Bernice Allison.

Bill stayed busy working throughout his life and he visited many Masonic lodges in the area and throughout Texas. He was Past Master of the Brahan Masonic Lodge No. 226 A.F. & A.M. in La Vernia and Stockdale Masonic Lodge No. 470 A.F. & A.M. He was also a member of Shriners. He will be dearly missed by his family and all that knew him. “Dad, you can rest now and we will see you again. We love you!” said his family.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his daughters, Michele Yandell of Seguin, and Tonya James and husband Mike Krauss of San Antonio; his former wife, Dorothy Ball of Universal City; his brother, Raymond James and wife Judy of Newman, Calif.; his sister, Mary James of San Antonio; his cousin, Bill Allison of Arlington, Va.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, at 11:30 a.m. in the La Vernia First Baptist Church in La Vernia with the Rev. David L. Gale officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Brahan Masonic Lodge AF&AM No. 226, P.O. Box 1263, La Vernia, TX 78121.

I am so sorry to hear about Bill passing. We met him at a Singles group in LaVernia oh around 15 years ago. We have seen and heard from him since. It is so hard to believe he is gone. My heart goes out to his girls.
