Dylan Doreck of the Karnes County FFA proudly represented his FFA organization and walked away with two breed championships, and his Brahman steer was later named reserve grand champion of the Karnes County Youth Show Jan. 19.

Dylan, the son of Jesse and Kris Doreck of Karnes City, is the grandson of Don and Gerri Ward of Floresville. Dylan has been showing steers for the past six years.

Dylan and his brother Luke, 10, are set to show animals in the San Antonio Livestock Exposition and the Houston Stock Show and Rodeo later this month. Dylan’s medium weight Brahman steer came in second at Houston’s show last year.

See more information on this show in an upcoming issue of the Wilson County News.
