Corpus Christi resident Abby Atkinson has been named as South Texas Trail Riders Mascot for the 2012-13 season. Abby is 9 years old and is a fourth-grader at Magee Elementary. She is the daughter of Jason and Alice Atkinson. She has a brother, Dylan, 17, and two sisters, Cindy, 19, and Ellie, 7. Her family has been going on this trail ride for five years.

Abby loves to ride her horse, Callie, and also enjoys singing, dancing, and creating beautiful art to share.

“I am so excited about riding as the mascot this year,” Abby said. “I hope to meet a lot of new friends on the trail to San Antonio. Have a great ride!”
