CASA VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR, FULL-TIME POSITION. Provides professional staff support to CASA volunteers to ensure that abused children’s best interests are represented in court. Social services experience required.  Responsible for assisting with recruiting and initial training of advocates, and coordinating cases in Wilson County and Karnes County with Atascosa County (home office). Michael Anthony Bravo Jr. passed away on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, in Floresville at the age of 59 years, 11 months, and 19 days. He was born on Feb. 15, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas, to Marie Angelina Lopez and Michael Anthony Bravo Sr.

He was a former resident of San Antonio and a resident of Floresville for 25 years.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Angelina Lopez Bravo; and cousin Elizabeth Bravo.

He is survived by his daughters, Jade Bravo and Micaela Bravo, both of Floresville; sister Cynthia Gail Bravo of Floresville; uncle and aunt Joe and Mary Bravo of San Antonio; father Michael A. Bravo Sr. of San Antonio; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; and a host of friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, Feb. 7, at 5 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville with the Rev. Phil Henning officiating.

Interment followed in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Floresville.

Serving as pallbearers were Robert Martinez, Louis Gonzales, Jason Castro, and Michael Vasquez.
