Albert W. Frank, a lifelong resident of the Camp Ranch community, passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at 4:30 a.m. in the Regency Manor Nursing Home in Floresville, at the age of 100 years, 10 months, and 25 days. Albert was born March 10, 1912, in Yoakum, Texas, the son of William and Louisa Schmedt Frank.

Albert attended Green School and graduated from Floresville High School, class of 1932. Albert married Leona Marie Beutnagel on April 30, 1941, in the First Lutheran Church in Floresville. Leona, Albert’s beloved wife of more than 64 years, preceded him in death on March 1, 2006. He was a farmer and rancher who worked for Floresville Implement Company and Smith Propane for many years, and was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church in Floresville.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Leona Marie Beutnagel Frank; and his siblings, Hubert Frank, George Frank, Martha Deskin, Lydia Gerdes, Edna Pennartz, and Hertha Treier.

He is survived by his children, Carolyn Schulze and husband Richard of Cypress and William “Willie” O. Frank and wife Evelyn of Floresville; his grandchildren, Kristen Schulze, Karen Schulze, Jonathan Schulze and wife Jennifer, William Frank Jr. and wife Francis, and Sheri Stock and husband Corbin; and his great-grandchildren, Daniel Frank, Emily Frank, A.J. Frank, Sean Luna, Scott Calame Jr., Brandon Schulze, and James Schulze.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, Feb. 6, from 9-11 a.m. in the First Lutheran Church in Floresville.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the church officiated by the Rev. John T. Conrad.

Interment followed in the Floresville City Cemetery in Floresville.

Serving as pallbearers were Michael Miller, Frank Pennington, Gordon Deskin, William O. Frank Jr., Jonathan Schulze, and Daniel Frank.

Serving as honorary pallbearer was A1C Sean Luna.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 1406 Sixth St., Floresville, TX 78114, or to a charity of one’s choice.
