Eagle Ford: Suspected kidnapper, robber, others make court appearances
Jury selection is set for Feb. 25 in the trial of 29-year-old Bobby Martin Schroeder of Floresville, who is charged with two separate counts of aggravated robbery, according to court records.
In one of the cases, which refers to a March 15, 2012, incident involving a Floresville resident, Schroeder also is charged with kidnapping.
Schroeder was one of several suspects in Wilson County district court Feb. 5 for a docket call. Among the other suspects in court were:
•Jordan Lewis, 29, of San Antonio, who is charged with aggravated robbery, attempted aggravated kidnapping, escape, evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle following a March 3, 2012, escape from the Wilson County Jail. He also will stand trial for his alleged role in a Nov. 7, 2011, burglary. Jury selection ahead of this trial is set for March 25, with Lewis’ next scheduled court appearance being a docket call set for March 5.
•Monica Olivo, 34, of Floresville, charged with theft by a public servant, totaling more than $20,000 but less than $100,000. According to Assistant District Attorney Audrey Louis of the 81st Judicial District, Olivo -- a former employee of the Wilson County Tax Assessor/Collector’s Office, was set to return to court Feb. 11.
•Maria Elena Wildenstein, 48, charged with misapplication by a fiduciary. Jury selection ahead of the former La Vernia Junior High School principal’s trial is set for March 25, with her next court appearance being a docket call set for March 5.
