Of course, Floresville will be last. Too busy spending money (millions) on pet projects. They could have had a wired Internet here for less than the cost of the Event Center. Instead, the previous administration wanted to spend MORE on a Sports Complex. Give us high-speed Internet and you might get some big business here.

I need a provider that doesn't limit my data or speed. I do too much remote work from home via VPN and IPSEC tunneling. Wild Blue Excede gets the job done, but it's hardly affordable. We typically get 14mb speeds, 20 GB download, and 7GB upload. I can go through that in a day when I'm working on pressing projects. Wish our area had more options. I'd even be happy with DSL options.

At TopGun we strive to be the best Internet provider possible. To the extent that we don't even require a contract. We don't want to keep someone "captive" if they are unhappy. We have only had two accounts quit because of service issues and we assisted in their transition to a new provider. If "It's Me" is a current customer of TopGun and has problems we haven't heard anything. As for my competitors LVWIFI and ZipLink, I frequently send potential customers to them that I am not able to service. A wired infrastructure would be a great boom to Floresville, but most of the people screaming for it have NO IDEA of the huge expenditure required and the long Return on Investment (ROI). This is what has kept the big guys from coming here. When they do come, expect the large subdivisions outside city limits to be first. Floresville will still be kept waiting.
