Elisa M. Coronado, 87, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013. She was born on March 17, 1925, in Floresville, Texas, to Pedro and Francisca Martinez.

Elisa was a proud lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 8555. Elisa married David Coronado on Dec. 14, 1947, and enjoyed 59 wonderful years. The family extends a special thank-you to Dr. Carlos Correa for his care and compassion.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Coronado; her parents; and siblings Jose Martinez, Anita M. Ramirez, Maria M. Davila, and Margarita M. Gaitan.

Elisa is survived by her loving nieces and nephews; godchildren; and other loving family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 5 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. in the Mission Park Funeral Chapels South in San Antonio.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in San Antonio.

Interment will follow in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
