Stockdale News: Brahma Happenings
By Paul Darilek
Springtime is approaching quickly at the Stockdale Independent School District (ISD).
Congratulations go out to everyone on another successful year of the Wilson County Junior Livestock Show.
Stockdale Elementary School was celebrating 100 day of school this month. Elementary school secretary Vickie Wiatrek won the prize as best dressed.
Also, congratulations to all who participated in the elementary UIL meet held in Poth. Stockdale was well represented.
I would like to remind everyone of spring break in March. The Stockdale ISD will be closed Monday through Friday, March 11-15.
The Stockdale ISD girls softball as well as Little League softball will be pleased to know that new upgrades to the existing softball field in the city park are near completion. New lights are now ready for use to make this field playable at night as well as the fence being moved in to official size. A very big thanks goes out to BANG Electric for donating the labor to make this project possible!
February teachers of the month are:
•Elementary School -- Venicia Monita
•Junior High School -- Sally Tamez
•High School -- Kerri Darilek.
Paul Darilek is the superintendent of the Stockdale Independent School District.
