LA VERNIA -- After a real rollercoaster of a season, things have come to an end for the La Vernia Lady Bear basketball team. The Lady Bears finished third in District 28-3A to grab a playoff spot, and then knocked off Fredericksburg in the bi-district round of competition, but eventually fell to Smithville in the area championship last Friday night. . . .
