Karnes County exhibitors from local 4-H and FFA clubs competed Jan. 17-19 in the Karnes County Show Barn, located between Karnes City and Kenedy.

Two Falls City FFA members walked away with top honors. Conner Jendrusch’s Exotic Division steer earned the grand champion halter steer division and earned $9,500 (not counting add-ons) in the auction sale Jan. 19.

Tucker Huff was a double winner, winning not only the grand champion lamb, but the reserve champion lamb honors as well. Auction proceeds, before add-ons, were $10,000 and $6,000 for the grand and reserve champion, respectively.

Several Falls City exhibitors sold in the auction, which surpassed last year’s record auction receipts by more than $66,500. Receipts this year totaled $595,474, not including add-ons.

See page 3D for a listing of Falls City exhibitors.

Results of the baked foods show will be availble in next week’s issue.
