1924-2013

Lillie M. Kruciak, 88, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013. She was born July 26, 1924, to Alex and Mary Lyssy.

She was a native of Hobson, Texas, and had lived in San Antonio since 1946. Lillie was a devoted member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and a member of the Blessed Sacrament Society there. She was a devoted wife and mother, and her favorite pastime was gardening. She was an employee of Joskes of Texas for nine years. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her, said her family. For 10 years she was lovingly cared for by Irene and Tony Patterson and recent caregiver Letty Hall.

Lillie was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Felix Kruciak of San Antonio, whom she married on Oct. 6, 1946; her parents; and brothers Dode Lyssy and Thomas Lyssy.

She is survived by her children, Mary Flori of San Marcos and James Kruciak and wife Sharon of Hewitt; grandchildren Jarrod Kruciak, Ryan Flori, and Chelsea Kruciak; numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, Feb. 23, at noon with a rosary recited at 12:30 p.m. in the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in San Antonio.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the church.

Interment followed in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Hobson.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1314 Fair Ave., San Antonio, TX 78223.
