1940-2013

Cecilia Marie (Kalinoski) Reinhard peacefully entered the arms of her Lord on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, after a 12-year battle with cancer. Cecilia was born on May 15, 1940, in Lockhart, Texas, to Zigmond and Cecilia (Tomczyk) Kalinoski.

After the death of her mother from childbirth, Cecilia was adopted by Joe and Theodosia “Daisy” Kalinoski and reared in San Antonio. Cecilia attended Catholic schools and graduated from St. Gerard High School in 1958. She married Alfred Lee Reinhard in 1960. They recently celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. Together they were blessed with three children. During her children’s early years, Cecilia was a housewife and volunteered her time at Holy Name Catholic School where her children received their education. She was later employed with the San Antonio Independent School District, where she worked with special needs children. She was a member of Holy Name Parish for more than 50 years and the parish adult choir for more than 40 years. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed tending cattle with Alfred taking special care in coming up with unique names for each one!

Cecilia was preceded in death by siblings Arthur Kalinoski, Mike Kalinoski, Frances Waclawczyk, and Bruno Kalinoski; and grandson Justin Reinhard.

She is survived by her husband, Alfred Lee Reinhard; her children, Catherine Pollok and husband Ronald, Charles Reinhard and wife Stacey, and James Reinhard and wife Kris; brothers George Kalinoski, Pete Mahula, and Andrew Preiss; her sister, Martha Matthews; grandchildren Edward Friske, Wesley Reinhard, Christine Pollok, Kyle Reinhard, Emily Pollok, and Corey Reinhard; and great-granddaughter Kynze Reinhard.

Visitation was held on Thursday, Feb. 21, at 6 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. in the Holy Name Catholic Church in San Antonio.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. in the church.

Interment followed in the Mission Burial Park South in San Antonio.
