Young bakers from the Falls City FFA or 4-H clubs entered the 2013 Karnes County Youth Show Baked Foods contest Jan. 18, with 13 Falls City participants taking home champion senior or junior divisions ranging from sweet breads to pies and cookies. The bakers returned Jan. 19 for the auction, and were given the chance to personally thank the buyers for purchasing their award-winning entries, which ranged from $1,000 to $4,500.
