Lucian James Laskowski, 67, entered into eternal peace with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013. He was born on May 4, 1945, in Poth, Texas, to Lucian and Tekla (Felux) Laskowski.

Lucian was a proud Vietnam veteran who considered it an honor to protect and serve his country. After returning from the military, he joined the construction field as an electrician, retiring after 38 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at their lake house with family and friends traveling to all his granchildren’s sporting events. Lucian was happiest spending time with his family. The family wishes to thank The START Center for Cancer Care and the Methodist oncology staff for all their care and compassion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Walter Laskowski.

Lucian is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Caroline (Smolka) Laskowski; the pride and joy of his life, daughter Stephanie Keno and husband Robert; grandson Brandon; granddaughter Jaelyn; brothers Benjamin Laskowski and wife Lillian and Chester Laskowski and wife Evelyn; sisters Carolyn Jendry and husband James and Alice McKinney and husband John; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation was held Friday, March 1, from 5-9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. in the Brookehill Funeral Home in San Antonio.

A funeral Mass was held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Holy Name Catholic Church in San Antonio.

Interment followed in the Mission Burial Park South in San Antonio.
