FLORESVILLE -- The Floresville Police Department seeks assistance from the public to identify an individual suspected of shoplifting a laptop from Floresville Walmart Supercenter on Feb. 23.

Lt. Chad Clark of the Floresville Police Department said that about 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 23, a young Hispanic male wearing a long-sleeved blue shirt and blue jean overalls entered the electronics section of the Walmart on U.S. 181.

The suspect was carrying cable cutters, which he used to sever the silver Sony Ultrabook computer, valued at $600, from the cable that tethered it to the store’s display.

“He then shoved the laptop in the front of his overalls and walked out of Walmart,” Clark said.

I know someone who works at Walmart. A lot of these thefts are done by out-of-towners from San Antonio. They come to Floresville because they think hicks like us are easy pickings.. perhaps its true. They do get arrested from ... More ›
