ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. 1927-2013

Edmundo Sanchez Jr., 85, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013, in Stockdale, Texas. Edmundo was born on Nov. 19, 1927, in Stockdale, the son of Louisa (Alvarez) and Edmundo A. Sanchez Sr.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Fidelia Sanchez, and his parents.

Edmundo is survived by his children, Sally Rangel and husband Raymond, Ricardo Sanchez and wife Julie, and Ruben Sanchez and wife Linda; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and other loving family and many friends.

Visitation was held Tuesday, March 5, from 5-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel of Stockdale, with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Stockdale, with the Rev. Dennis Jarzombek officiating.

Interment followed in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Stockdale.

Memorial contributions may be made by way of Mass intentions.
