So Clark lied during his campaign about retiring! Was just a few years ago constables threatened a lawsuit against the county to get paid how pathetic they go begging and lying to get elected then they threaten to sue because the job they begged and lied for doesn't pay enough.

Local Boy, I am not questioning whether Mr Clark is doing his job or not, I was simply stating what he said during his campaign and during the question and answer session. The voters asked him, how he planned to do both jobs and his response was that he was going to retire in order to do it. I believe a constable is paid 19k a year, but lets remeber that its not a full time job. Correct me if Im wrong but I believe he only has to do 19 hours a month as well. So 19k a year, a county vehicle and free gas is pretty good pay Im sure, not to mention the other perks he may be recieving. I dont know that guy or whether he is doing his job or not, sounds like most politticians, say whatever you need to say to get elected and then dont do it. I believe he knew all along that he would keep both jobs and increase his annaul earning by another 19k.

Local Boy I am much happier that Clark is my Constable instead of the prior one. I have no complaints with him other than the fact he said he was going to retire and be a "Full Time" Constable. Did he not check into the salary before he even decided to run? I bet ya a dollar he did. Anyway my real gripe is not against Clark it is against the free loading Constables Like Janskie. It burns me to the core that our elected officials allow people like him and perhaps others to milk the system and collect money and benefits for doing absolutely NOTHING except sit back and laugh at how he is screwing the taxpayers out of OUR hard earned money.

I too thought Clark was going to retire, but instead of listening to rumors or blogs I called him. He said that he had planned and is still planning to retire, but if he did it was such a large pay cut and he would still have to take a second job somewhere. I also did not know that every Constable in this county has a second job somewhere becuase the salary is so low that you can't live on it. The past Constable never quit his job at the light company. So why are we complaining now. Mr. Clark also showed me that in his 1st 2 months in office he has brought in over $500 to the county serving civil papers.
Spec Ops, forgive me if I am wrong, but isn't "double dipping" getting paid twice for the same job. From what I have heard and seen Clark is doing but jobs, seperate. No, he may not be out 40 hours a week, but he sure is earning the little money he is paid. I, for one, am glad he is my Constable. At least he was open and honest with me....

I also heard that Clark was going to be a full time Constable. I did not vote for Clark but even though he is still working for Floresville PD I still see him out working as a Constable. This is far more than I can say for Constable Janskie. At least we are getting some work out of the tax dollars we are paying Clark! Janskie and perhaps others are just enjoying the free ride (pay and insurance) at our expense! Wake up Wilson County officials and demand that the free loaders do something!

I thought mr Clark said he was going to retire in jan 2013 so that he could have enough time for his constable job if elected. So much for that. Must be nice to double dip
