KJ97 (KAJA-FM) has announced that it has been named the Large Market Radio Station of the Year by the Academy of Country Music (ACM) for the 48th annual ACM Awards. This is the first-ever ACM Award for KJ97, adding to the station’s success not only in ratings but also its powerful community-service efforts.

The awards show will be hosted by Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan, who will broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 7. The radio winners will be honored at a special awards gathering prior to the main event.

“Being honored by the Academy of Country Music is a tremendous accomplishment for our station and community,” said Breeanna Malik, president and market manager of Clear Channel Media and Entertainment San Antonio. “We have an outstanding team at KJ97 and we look forward to building on our success to provide San Antonio with a station they can be proud of.”

“KJ97 has the best talent and staff in radio,” said KJ97 Programming Director Travis Moon. “This award is a reflection on their hard work and deep commitment to our community. We are so proud to share the excitement of this honor with our listeners in San Antonio!”

Fans can listen to KJ97 on the station’s website, www.kj97.com, as well as on iHeartRadio.com and the iHeartRadio mobile app.
