First Lutheran Church in Floresville is seeking a Director of Youth and Family Ministry, part-time 20 hours/week. Qualifications: Have active worship life and ongoing growth in faith, understanding of Lutheran-Christian tradition, ability to work with both adults and youth, basic computer and organizational skills. Director will disciple both parents and youth grades 1-12, establish appropriate caring relationships with youth, seek opportunities to connect with youth in their environment on their schedule, organize parents into groups for children's ministry work, arrange at least 3 annual local events or trips for Sr. high youth, recruit and encourage youth and adults to take positions of shared leadership and involvement, create and implement means for regular communication with parents and youth, manage youth and family ministry calendar in collaboration with staff, parents, and youth. AUSTIN -- Here is the fishing report as compiled for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (full report is available at www.tpwd.state.tx.us)

Freshwater

BRAUNIG
Water clear. Black bass are fair on crankbaits and Rat--L--Traps near the jetty and dam. Striped bass are fair down rigging silver and gold spoons and marble spinnerbaits near the dam. Redfish are fair on perch, shad, tilapia, crawfish, and shrimp near Dead Tree Point. Channel catfish are good on liver, shrimp, cheesebait, and cut bait near the discharge. Blue catfish are fair on live bait and cut bait.

CALAVERAS
Water clear. Black bass are good on watermelon soft plastic worms and crankbaits near the dam. Striped bass are fair on silver spoons and jigs near the dam, and on cut perch and shad along the shoreline. Redfish are fair down rigging silver spoons near the dam. Channel and blue catfish are good on nightcrawlers, shrimp, and cheesebait. Yellow catfish are slow.

CANYON LAKE
Water lightly stained; 59--63 degrees; 9.19’ low. Black bass are fair on watermelon Curb’s hair jigs, JDC drop shot worms, and jerkbaits along break lines and ledges. Striped bass are fair vertically jigging Pirk Minnows and Spoiler Shads. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs upriver. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are slow.

CHOKE CANYON
Water clear; 62--66 degrees; 17.92’ low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits and heavy jigs in grass. White bass are good on minnows and spoons. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait and live perch. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLETO CREEK
Water clear; 2.69’ low. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastics in 3--12 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on trotlines baited with liver and shrimp. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch.

Saltwater

CORPUS CHRISTI
Trout are fair to good on the edge of the spoils on Gulps and live shrimp. Black drum are good in the Humble Channel at night on crabs and table shrimp.

EAST MATAGORDA
Trout are fair to good for drifters in the afternoon on live shrimp over humps and scattered shell. Redfish are fair to good on the edge of the Intracoastal on crabs and mullet.

MATAGORDA
Redfish are fair to good in Oyster Lake and the Diversion Channel on shrimp. Trout are fair on shell and grass on soft plastics. Black drum are fair to good at the jetty on crabs.

PORT ARANSAS
Black drum are good in the channels on crabs and finger mullet. Redfish and sheepshead are fair to good at the jetty on shrimp.

ROCKPORT
Black drum are good in the Lydia Ann Channel on crabs. Trout are fair over grass while drifting with live shrimp.

NORTH SABINE
Trout are fair to good in the river on live shad. Redfish are good in the marsh on small topwaters and spinnerbaits.

SOUTH SABINE
Sheepshead and black drum are good at the jetty on live shrimp. Trout are fair around the Reef on live shrimp. Redfish are good around the bayous on shrimp.

SOUTH PADRE
Black drum, redfish and sheepshead are fair at the jetty on shrimp. Trout and redfish are fair to good on the edge of the Intracoastal on DOA Shrimp and Gulps.

TEXAS CITY
Black drum are fair to good in the channel on crabs. Sheepshead and sand trout are good around the piers on shrimp. Redfish are fair to good on shrimp and crabs in Moses Lake.
