Offer condolences


Richard S. Pawlik, a longtime resident of San Antonio, entered eternal rest Saturday, March 9, 2013, at 2:05 a.m. in his residence, at the age of 72 years, 4 months, and 9 days. Richard was born Oct. 28, 1940, in Falls City, Texas, the son of Edmond Edward and Helen Wiatrek Pawlik.

He attended Falls City schools, and was retired from the construction business, after many years of faithful service. Richard married Linda Moeller on Nov. 15, 1968, in San Antonio. He was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Elmendorf.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Edmond Edward Pawlik.

He is survived by his wife of more than 44 years, Linda Moeller Pawlik of San Antonio; his sons, Kevin Ray Pawlik of San Antonio, Mark A. Pawlik and wife Mary of Three Rivers, and Darrell Duelm and Bryan Duelm, both of Seguin; his grandchildren, Corinne Pawlik, Hayden Pawlik, and Logan Pawlik, all of San Antonio, and Aubrie Pawlik of Three Rivers; his mother, Helen Wiatrek Pawlik of Falls City; and his siblings, Fred Pawlik and wife Carol, Gracie Kotzur, and Loraine Polk and husband Frank, all of San Antonio, Delores Felux and husband Ephrem of Kosciusko, Gilbert Pawlik and wife Carolyn and Aubrey Pawlik and wife Brenda, all of Floresville, and Sandra Darnell and husband John of Falls City.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 11, at 5 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Elmendorf, officiated by the Rev. Andrew Kasara.

Interment followed in the St. Anthony Cemetery in Elmendorf.

Serving as pallbearers were Aubrey Pawlik, Gilbert Pawlik, Larry Bratten, Josh Pawlik, Ernest T. Kolodziej, and Charles Moeller.
