Municipal, school board, and other local elections are set for Saturday, May 11.

The last day to register to vote in the May 11 elections is Thursday, April 11. Early voting runs Monday, April 29, through Tuesday, May 7. Ballots by mail must be requested by Friday, May 3.

City elections have been canceled in St. Hedwig, as the incumbents for places 1, 3, and 5 are unopposed. Councilmen Dwayne Padalecki, Walter Wyrwich, and Francisco Arevalo will continue to serve.

Stockdale ISD also has canceled its election for Districts 1, 2, 5, and 7. Respective incumbents Mauro Monita, Craig Clancy, Teri Dugi, and Sal Urrabazo filed unopposed and will retain their places.

Candidates on the May ballots include:

•Wilson Memorial Hospital District board: Precincts 1, 2, 3, and 4; currently serving are Monica Flores, Ronald Eckel, Sue Coats, and Sam Carter, respectively; and an at-large place, currently held by Jimmy Fietsam. Candidates are: Precinct 1, Tom A. Ray; Precinct 2, Ronald W. Eckel; Precinct 3, Sue Coats and Tom Miller; Precinct 4, Sam Carter; at-large seat, Larry Richardson and Dr. James D. Rethaber.
