Wilfred “Butch” Noble, a resident of Wilson County the past 16 years, took his last truck ride Friday, March 15, 2013, at 1:16 p.m. in the Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio following a short illness at the age of 65 years, 4 months, and 10 days. Butch was born Nov. 5, 1947, in Houston, Texas, the son of William and Eva Romer Noble.

He attended Houston schools and was a truck driver for many years. Butch married Gloria Boyd in Wilson County. Most of all, Butch was a friend, father, and husband. Everyone that knew him loved him.

Butch is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Boyd Noble of Falls City; his daughters, Christie Lyons and husband Roy of Illinois and Jennifer Noble and companion Jeff of Los Angeles, Calif.; four wonderful grandchildren whom he loved very much; his sisters, Pat Bergmon-Smith of La Vernia and Carol Sue Gonzales and husband Larry of Houston; and many friends. Farewell, my love, farewell, said his family.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 20, at noon in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.

A funeral service followed at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
