1970-2013

Rosaura Torres passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 42 years, 6 months, and 17 days. She was born Aug. 30, 1970, in San Luis, Mexico, the daughter of Rafael and Josefina Mendoza. She was a resident of Floresville for 24 years and the owner of Emmy’s Mexican Restaurant in Stockdale.

Rosaura is survived by her husband, Jesus Torres of Floresville; her parents; her children, Yessenia Torres, Rebecca Torres, Yazmin Torres, and Jesus Torres, all of Floresville; her siblings, Lorena Mendoza, Eva Mendoza, Rafael Mendoza, Adan Mendoza, and Jesus Mendoza, all of Nebraska; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Visitation was held Tuesday, March 19, at 5 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stockdale with the Rev. Dennis Jarzombek officiating.

Interment followed in the Stockdale Cemetery in Stockdale.
