The Wilson County News wants to know what “Springtime in South Texas” means to you! Tell us and share it with our readers by capturing it on camera. That is right, it is time for our annual and much-anticipated “Springtime in South Texas Photo Contest.” Contestants submit entries via e-mail to Entries are posted once a week at where they can be viewed and enjoyed by all throughout the contest.

All entries for the photo contest should be entered by Friday, May 31, at 5 p.m. Entries will be judged on the theme “Springtime in South Texas,” composition, and creativity! Winners will be printed in the June 5 Wilson County News print edition. Judging the contest are Tom and Dana Parish of Floresville, who own and operate the Alamo Photo Labs in San Antonio. Dana, a local artist, also offers private art lessons. For rules and more information, view contest page at
