Floresville grad tosses no-hitter for Lubbock Christian
(Lubbock Christian University) TUCSON, Ariz. -- No. 2 Lubbock Christian University (LCU) would receive a trio of consecutive complete-game shutouts in their second day of play in the Tucson Invitational after edging Valley City State University 1-0, downing Dordt College 8-0, and capping off the day with a 9-0 no-hit win against Mount Marty College. Tori Bayer, a 2012 graduate of Floresville High School, completed LCU’s 13th no-hitter, and it is the third no-hitter thrown by a Lady Chaparrals pitcher this season. LCU allowed just three hits on the day and improved their overall record to 22-6 with the wins. . . .
