Seguin students advance to state art contest
These students from Lifegate Christian School in Seguin advanced to state competition following the TAPPS District 3-1A Art meet March 4 in Seguin.
The team finished second in district competition, moving on to the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools state competition March 22-23 at Concordia University in Austin. Making state are Cameron Scott, black and white drawing; Faith Fowler, black and white drawing, on-site drawing; David Glenewinkel, color drawing; Chelsea Benes, color drawing, relief 2-D mixed media; Wyatt Oakley, relief 2-D mixed media; Jacob Reneau, printmaking, sculpture; Benjamin Stevens, photography; Faith Swisher, fashion design; Lyndsay Weaver, senior portfolio; Christine Day, on-site drawing; Jayson Mittelberg, art history; and Christopher Tracy, art history.
Caleb Dodson and Kolten Soefje also are part of the team.
