STTR meeting, trail ride

The South Texas Trail Riders will host its general membership meeting and election trail ride, Friday through Sunday, April 5-7, at the Wilson County Show Barn, located off S.H. 97 east of Floresville.

Registration will begin Friday at 4 p.m., followed by a supper, prepared by the Floresville Boys, at 6 p.m.

Admission is $20, no charge for members.

The 7 a.m. cattle call and breakfast by Arlis Young, Ray Garcia, and Michael Dunn, will begin Saturday’s activities. Ride out is at 9 a.m. Negative Coggins papers are required for all equine.

A dance, with music by the “Thompson Lee and Co. Band,” will be held from 8 p.m. until midnight. The dance is open to the public for $7 per person.

The general membership meeting will be held Sunday at 10 a.m.
