Helen Forbrich celebrated her 100th birthday on Feb. 25, 2013. She was born on Feb. 25, 1913, to Paul and Veronica Tudyk of Wilson County.

Helen’s birthday celebration was held in a San Antonio restaurant near her home on Feb. 24 with her three sons (her only daughter is deceased), and local grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. Nephews from Allen, Lytle, and Cibolo were also in attendance.

Two beautiful birthday cakes were presented with 50 lit candles on each for her to blow out. She did very well.

Congratulations for reaching her 100th birthday came from Texas Gov. Rick Perry and First Lady Michelle Obama. Helen also received many gifts, flower arrangements, and cards from relatives and friends.
