1937-2013

Jesusa G. Garza passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 76 years, 2 months, and 8 days. She was born Jan. 18, 1937, in Floresville, the daughter of Antonio Galindo and Maria Cordova.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Garza Sr.; her son, Manuel Garza Jr.; her parents; and her sister, Juanita Maria Barro.

Jesusa is survived by her daughters, Maria T. Villarreal and Virginia G. Villarreal, both of Floresville; her sister, Lupe Ximenez of Floresville; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Monday, April 1, at 5 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville, with the Rev. Phil Henning, celebrant.

Interment followed in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Floresville.

Serving as pallbearers were Nina Villarreal, Marisela Villarreal, Albert Villarreal Jr., Edward Villarreal, Tommy Lee Garza, and Robert Martinez.
