Offer condolences


Fay Gundy, 65, of Adkins, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013. She was born on Aug. 8, 1947, in San Antonio to Joe Ernest Talk and Nina Margaret Lewis.

She retired from International Paper in 2010, after 27 years of service. Fay served on several committees at the La Vernia United Methodist Church and assisted with the church thrift store. She was a member of a local scrapbooking group and enjoyed doing that the most.

Fay was preceded in death by her father, Joe Talk.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Larry Gundy of Adkins; son Dwayne Gundy and wife Stacy of New Braunfels; grandchildren Garrett and Grant Gundy; mother Margaret Talk of Floresville; sister Nina Jo Kupper and husband Bill of Floresville; mother-in-law Roberta McCrary; sister-in-law Peggy Archer; nephews Bill Kupper Jr. and Jim Kupper; her United Methodist Church family; and many loving friends.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 30, at 10 a.m. in the La Vernia United Methodist Church in La Vernia with Pastor Harry Kahl officiating.

Interment followed in the Kicaster Cemetery in Adkins.
