Alfredo Guerrero, 77, of Jourdanton, Texas, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013, in San Antonio. He was born Dec. 26, 1935, to Gregorio and Virginia (Ochoa) Guerrero.

Alfredo was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Delores Cruz; and his brother, Guadalupe Guerrero.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Guerrero of Jourdanton; son Joe E. Alvarado and wife Esther of Pleasanton; daughters Grace Griego and husband Guadalupe of Pleasanton and Beckey Ortiz of Jourdanton; brothers Joe Guerrero of San Antonio and Gregorio Guerrero and wife Olivia of Floresville; sisters Virginia Uranga and husband Joe of San Antonio and Victoria Rodriguez and husband Patricio of San Antonio; grandchildren Deidra Rodriguez, Timothy Joshua Griego, Cybil Paez, Melissa Allen, Jessica Machado, Denise Soto, Brandie Espinosa, Tiffany Sanchez, and Robert Castellan; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, from 2-9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. in the Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the St. Matthew Catholic Church in Jourdanton. Interment will follow in the Amphion Cemetery in Poteet.

Serving as pallbearers for the service will be Jay Soto, Guadalupe Griego, Enrique Rodriguez, Timothy Joshua Griego, Paul Olivarri, and Joseph Machado.
