CASA VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR, FULL-TIME POSITION. Provides professional staff support to CASA volunteers to ensure that abused children’s best interests are represented in court. Social services experience required.  Responsible for assisting with recruiting and initial training of advocates, and coordinating cases in Wilson County and Karnes County with Atascosa County (home office). Must demonstrate written and presentation communication skills. Must be available to work intermittent evenings/weekends with some travel.  Must have personal car, current TDL, and auto liability insurance. Vernell Lee Buesing, 71, was called home by God on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. She was born on Feb. 25, 1942, in Floresville, Texas, to Walter and Clara Jarutowicz Coldewey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Franklin Coldewey.

Vernell is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 49 years, Kenneth Buesing; loving son Leslie Buesing and wife Suzanne; three loving grandchildren, Broockylon, Brittian, and Zachary Buesing; nieces Lisa Coldewey, Regina Coldewey, and Pat Buesing Guthrie; nephews Kevin Coldewey and Brian Buesing; sister-in-law Mary Alice Coldewey Owens; brother-in-law Calvin Buesing and wife Ruby; and many cousins and friends.

Her sparkling eyes and never-ending smile will be with us forever. She will be greatly missed, said her family.

Vernell’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, April 20, at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Nordheim.

I knew Vernell. I went to school with her. Since I went to 3 different schools, I am not sure if I went to school with her in Three Oaks or Poth. She was a very nice girl and friend and for many years I wondered where she ... More ›
