Washington D.C. --Congressman Henry Cuellar (D-TX28) invites taxpayers from all over the 28th district to submit their ideas on how the federal government can save money and use resources more efficiently in order to reduce the nation’s deficit.

“The concept that all good ideas originate in Washington, DC, is wrong,” said Cuellar. "I want to hear directly from the taxpayers about their ideas on how to cut spending and make government programs and services more efficient. There is a lot of imagination, innovation, and brainpower in the 28th District. This is a good way to leverage technology to engage the public and get new ideas."

To submit ideas on how to reform government spending, visit Congressman Henry Cuellar’s Facebook page at or use the Twitter handle @RepCuellar with the hashtag #spendingreform.

Sixty plus years ago I saw a poster in an Air Force repair shop which read "IF IT WORKS, DON'T FIX IT." Nobody pays attention to that concept.

Once the FairTax is enacted, ALL federal taxes will be paid at the final point of consumption. As of this writing, the majority of states have a sales tax with a collection system already in place. Those who have actually read... More ›

80 percent of the American people support this measure. Last I checked, the GOP failed to count on their vote so they voted against them....

Fair Tax......Any tax with a rebate to make it progressive doesn't deserve the term "Fair". The so called fair tax is inclusive which means that the purported 23 percent tax rate is the same as a 30 percent... More ›
