Marion, TX.,(April, 6th, 2013) After a successful opening night of action on the 1ˇ4 mile track, just east of San Antonio, Nitro Jam completed its two-day show with another complete show featuring the Top Fuel Dragsters, Amsoil Prostalgia Funny Cars, Fuel Altereds, Nitro Harleys, Jet Dragsters, Funny Cars and Truck, plus “Wheelstander.”

Bruce Litton, Mark Sanders, Ron Hope and Jay Turner looked to repeat after taking the Ironman trophies’ in the Friday night show. The Division 4 Renegades Sportsmen racers also began their eliminations as part of the Summit Series Pro-Am. These same Sportsmen cars return to action again on Sunday with a special “stand alone” show.

What started off as a cool, cloudy day quickly changed into a beautiful, warm, sunny, ‘Chamber of Commerce’ day for racers, teams and fans. Tracks warmed early in qualifying sessions for the Sportsmen cars.

Litton and Turner were able to double up for the weekend taking their second wins. Litton was unopposed in Top Fuel after Kyle Wurztel failed to fire. Turner, hanging one leg off for a stabilizer, outran TraceyKile for the Nitro Harley win.

Peter Gallen in his Poverty Stricken Prostalgia Funny Car rebounded for the Saturday night win. His opponent, Greg Jacobsmeyer, had all sorts of trouble leaving the line, going numerous directions, but not straight. Kyle Hough, Super Nanook, grabbed the Fuel Altered victory against Ron Hope, who drifted out of the groove and lifted.
