1942-2013

Charles Edward Kidd was called upon by his Lord and taken to heaven on Monday, March 25, 2013, at the age of 71 years and 8 days. He was born on March 17, 1942, to Charles Grover and OraBell Jones Kidd in George West, Texas.

Charles lost both of his parents by the age of 10. After living with different family members, he went to work on the Gallagher Ranch in Helotes. In September of 1968, he married Karen Mosmeyer of Floresville. Karen and Charles were married 43 years, and had a son, Charles Kidd Jr. He is now with the Lord, his parents, other family members, and friends. We love and miss you. Rest in peace, said the family.

Charles is survived by his wife, Karen Mosmeyer Kidd; his son, Charles Kidd Jr. and wife Michelle; his daughter, Shannon Ratliff; his sisters, Mary Gomillion of Dale and Margaret Carpenter of San Marcos; his grandchildren, Ashley and Justin Kidd, and Autumn, Shayna, and Kayla and their children.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 28, in the family cemetery in Pleasanton.

A graveside service was held on Thursday in the family cemetery officiated by Pastor Scotty Smith.
