The Children's Alliance of South Texas is seeking a Financial and Grants Manager to join an amazing team of professionals in the fight against child abuse. The Children’s Alliance of South Texas offers services to child victims and their non-offending family members in a 5 county area; Atascosa, Frio, LaSalle, Karnes, and Wilson counties. The Financial and Grants Manager will be charged with conducting the administration and control of all financial records and operations under the supervision of the Executive Director, and is responsible for day to day oversight of financial reporting, cash management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, grants, payroll capital expenditures, and budgeting. County llama exhibitors place at Houston show
Wilson County Youth 4-H members attending the 2013 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s Llama and Alpaca Show brought home three grand championship and four reserve championship banners. Along with these individual wins, Wilson County won the high point youth group, and third-place herdsman award. Proudly displaying the many awards are (back, from left) Tiffany Anderson, Michael Anderson, Kyra Aberle, Logan West, Kytheranialynn Fambrough-Brown, (front) Club Advisor Susan Leslie, Bryson Reese Andruss, Zoe Rutledge, Tanner White, and Trainer Anna Reese.

The Wilson County 4-H annual llama and alpaca show will be held Saturday, April 13, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the La Vernia Chamber of Commerce grounds located off U.S. 87 in La Vernia. Admission to the show is free.

The public is invited to watch the kids in action, with both showmanship and performance rounds in different age classes. Concessions, including a barbecue lunch, will be available for purchase.

A silent auction will also take place during the event.
