FLORESVILLE -- Landowners and community members in the Wilson County area are invited to attend a free seminar that highlights some programs available to implement rural conservation practices and initiatives. The event will be held Friday, April 19, at the Floresville Event Center. Registration will begin at 12:45 p.m., with refreshments provided by the Wilson County Wildlife Management Association. The seminar should conclude around 3 p.m.

The specific focus of this event is to give an overview of various agency programs with specific funds or incentives targeting conservation.

Speakers will cover topics from cost-share opportunities to direct incentives, and even Wildlife Tax Valuations. In addition to the useful information provided and the opportunity to learn about conservation, interested meeting participants will earn continuing education units (CEUs) to support their pesticide applicator’s license requirements.

To ensure that the event is adequately equipped with materials and refreshments, RSVP by Wednesday, April 17, to Bryan Davis with the AgriLife Extension at 830-393-7357.

The Floresville Event Center is located at 600 S.H. 97 W., approximately 1.5 miles west of Floresville.
