Lori G. Barhight, 48, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013, in Nixon, Texas. She was born Oct. 17, 1964, in San Antonio to Victor Mayfield and Virginia Stewart. Lori was named after her special uncle, Lorin Stewart.

She had been a resident of Nixon all her adult life. Lori met and married her husband, William Barhight, on Dec. 14, 1991.

Her father preceded her in death.

Lori is survived by her husband, William; her mother, Virginia Brooks of Nixon; her daughter, Kathy Barhight of Nixon; her son, Craig Barhight of Nixon; her brothers, Randy Stewart and wife Susan of San Antonio and Coy Stewart and wife Nola of Seguin; her grandchildren, Jessy and Jessica Barhight, both of Nixon; and nieces, nephews, and many friends.

The family gathered at Franklin Funeral Home on Sunday, April 14, for private arrangements.

Lori was a member of Faith Temple Church in Nixon, where visitation was held Tuesday, April 16, from 6-9 p.m.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the church with the Rev. Michael Cowey officiating.

Interment will follow in the Union Valley Cemetery in Wilson County.

Serving as pallbearers will be James Stewart, Coy Stewart Jr., Aaron Stewart, Lorin Stewart Jr., Burges Clanner, James Barhight, David Barhight, Thomas Barhight, Robert Arrellano, J.D. Miller, and Frank Riley.
