Emmett W. Beam, a lifelong resident of Floresville, Texas, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013, at 1:37 a.m. in the Connally Memorial Medical Center in Floresville, at the age of 84 years, 4 months, and 4 days. Emmett was born Dec. 3, 1928, in Floresville, the only child born to Emmett T. and Lydia Barosh Beam.

He attended Fairview schools and graduated from Floresville High School, class of 1946. Emmett spent his life farming and ranching.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Emmett is survived by numerous cousins.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 10, from 8:30-10 a.m. in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.

A graveside funeral service was held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Floresville City Cemetery in Floresville officiated by Pastor Kelly Tankersley.

Interment followed in the Floresville City Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Robert Kolenda, Carl Ed Pfeil, Clayton Pfeil, and Dale Pfeil.
