Groundwater planning meeting
The Texas Water Development Board (TWBD) will hold a Groundwater Management Area 13 Joint Planning Meeting on Thursday, April 25, at 10 a.m. in the Evergreen Underground Water Conservation at 110 Wyoming Blvd. in Pleasanton.
The groundwater conservation districts will review groundwater management plans, accomplishments of the management area, and proposals to adopt new or amend existing desired future conditions for the relevant aquifers within a management area. The board will calculate modeled available groundwater values, based on the desired future conditions, which will be used for regional water planning, groundwater conservation district management plans, and for permitting groundwater withdrawals.
Groundwater Management Area 13 consists of the following groundwater conservation districts: Edwards Aquifer Authority, Evergreen Underground Water Conservation District, Gonzales County Underground Water Conservation District, Guadalupe County Groundwater Conservation District, Medina County Groundwater Conservation District, McMullen Groundwater Conservation District, Plum Creek Conservation District, Wintergarden Groundwater Conservation District, and Uvalde County Underground Water Conservation District.
Counties within Groundwater Management Area 13 include Atascosa, Bexar, Caldwell, Dimmit, Frio, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Karnes, LaSalle, Maverick, McMullen, Medina, Uvalde, Webb, Wilson, Zapata, and Zavala.
