It would be cool to open a barbecue, beer, hamburger joint there. With volleyball courts in the back and maybe a stage for bands.

you can also partner up with the local hotels/motels to see who they have booking with them that may need some meeting rooms or at least get some info to them to put in the rooms or local info packets.... lil networking never... More ›

NewGuy is right ... another thing. Until now, Floresville did not have motel space available for any size convention. In fact, we lost out on several events because of that. Again, no planning. Should have had accommodations... More ›

I think mr tejada's comment is very telling. When comparing the buildings of similar sizes, did you happen to compare the county / city populations ? The live oak civic center and la villita are located in or around a county... More ›

Im not a business major, but I would have to think a sharp rise in prices as these would deter folks from wanting to have their events here. I think it will only hurt business. Not fair to compare the prices to La Villita or... More ›

Obviously, someone who took an economics or business course needs to help these folks out. Supply and demand. Of course, until a market study is done, who knows what the value of renting the convention center is. $500/day... More ›
