FALLS CITY -- Tylor Chaplin has been named the lone finalist in the Falls City Independent School District's (ISD) superintendent's search. The district's board of trustees made its unanimous decision during its April 17 regular meeting.

Chaplin, 40, currently is the principal of the Huckabay ISD, which has a single kindergarten through 12th grade building. The district, located outside Fort Worth, is home to approximately 165 students, he said. Chaplin has been employed there for the past five years.

The new superintendent is set to take the helm in July. He replaces current Superintendent Linda Bettin, who has decided to retire after eight years in that position.
