With 14 years of public school experience, I have served as paraprofessional, teacher, instructional coach, academic coordinator, and principal. I have also taught for both Alamo Colleges and Concordia University. I have earned Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, Master of Arts in Education, and Doctor of Education degrees.

My wife and I have five children, ranging from 5 to 12 years old, who will be in LVISD for the next 13 years, thus I have a long-term personal interest in the success of the school district. We are also active members of our church, where I serve as an elder, and Joy serves as the director of the Mothers Day Out program.

I am running because I want to use my education and leadership experience to help improve the school culture and climate, advance our district technology, focus our work on improving the academic performance of all student groups, and expand extracurricular opportunities.

I also want to foster open communication between our community and the school board in order to ensure that every concerned taxpayer feels that their voice is heard.
