Education is my priority. I graduated from LVHS, three of my children are proud LVHS graduates, and two more are still in school here.

I worked for LVISD for nine years, eight of them as a classroom teacher. I enjoyed working with and caring for the parents and students of LVISD. Before entering education, I worked in the business world for many years. I have a business degree, with a major in accounting. When my experiences in education are coupled with my experiences in business, I am very qualified to serve on the LVISD board of trustees.

I want to maximize the students’ returns on the school taxes we pay. Our students are our future and they should be the main focus when deciding how tax dollars are spent. I will be an accessible school board member and an advocate for all students, parents, and staff. I will ask the tough questions and demand proper answers. I always have, and always will, put the needs of LVISD above the needs and wants of my own. Transparency and confidence in the school board are essential.

Let’s work together to restore LVISD to a district of academic excellence and fiscal responsibility.
